ted-donatoAnnual Meeting of the Harvard Club of RI @ The Hope Club

Our 2017 annual meeting & dinner will be held on Tuesday May 3 from 5:30PM at the  Hope Club. Please join us as we welcome one of today's most popular Harvard speakers, Dr. Andrew Berry, and our guests, the incoming members of the Harvard Class of 2021!

Professor Berry will discuss "What Darwin Didn't Know: Evolution Since the Origin"

Andrew Berry is a Lecturer in Life Sciences, specializing in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard College, and was previously a Junior Fellow in the Harvard Society of Fellows.  He is co-author, with James Wilson, of DNA: The Secret of Life, has contributed to scripts for several PBS series, including NOVA, and is one of the most sought-after presenters on the Harvard Speakers Bureau roster. His talk will encompass contemporary developments in evolutionary theory, the remarkable robustness of Darwin's thinking in the face of enormous recent leaps in genetics, and findings from Dr. Berry's own original research into evidence for natural selection.
