Join us for a timely and provocative conversation with election expert Professor Stephen D. Ansolabehere, Professor of Government, Harvard University. and principal investigator of the Cooperative Congressional Election Study. Professor Ansolabehere will share his experience and answer our questions about the past, present and future of elections in America. This intimate event will include a delicious special fixed price menu of Pot au Feu favorites.


 

Stephen Ansolabehere is Professor of Government at Harvard University. He is an expert in public opinion and elections, and has published extensively on elections, mass media, and representation, political economy, and public opinion, especially concerning energy and the environment. He is author of four books: The Media Game, Going Negative, American Government, and The End of Inequality. He is a Carnegie Scholar (2000), a Hoover National Fellow (1994), and Truman Scholar (1982) and was inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2007. He directed the Caltech/MIT Voting Technology Project from its founding in 2000 through 2004; is a member of the Board of Overseers of the American National Election Study and the Reuters Institute of Journalism at Oxford University; and consults for CBS News Election Decision Desk. He is the principal investigator of the Cooperative Congressional Election Study, a collaborative effort of over 60 universities and colleges in the United States.


For this event we have reserved all 50 seats and a fixed price menu at the historic and charming Pot au Feu restaurant. This local treasure makes every recipe from scratch with the highest quality local ingredients, offers fine French and California wines by the glass or bottle and is inspired by the esprit "that life is at its fullest when experienced around a table brimming with delicious food, good wine, intriguing conversation…". 


Our mouth watering menu:

Salad:     Field greens with house Dijon mustard vinaigrette with warm French bread and creamery butter.

Entree:   When purchasing tickets, guests will pre-select from the following:

                     Boeuf Bourguignonne - Braised beef with a rich red wine sauce.

                     Fillet of Cod broiled with breadcrumbs, sour cream, dill and shallot sauce.

                     Coq au Vin - Chicken quarters slow cooked with red wine, mushroom, onions and bacon.

                     Crepes Lulu - House made crepes with vegetarian ratatouille filling.

                EntrĂ©es are served with Herb Roasted Red Bliss Potatoes and Chef's seasonal vegetable selection.

Dessert: Pot de Chocolat with Whipped Cream Coffee

Cost:    The special cost of this fixed price dinner will be $45 per person plus a cash bar.
