About Juliette Kayyem:
Professor Juliette Kayyem AB'91, JD '95 is the Faculty Chair of the Homeland Security Project,  the Robert and Renee Belfer Senior Lecturer in International Security, Co-Chair of the Executive Program of Global Health and Security at the Harvard Kennedy School.  She served as assistant secretary of the Department of Homeland Security under President Obama. She is a CNN Security Analyst and regularly appears on CNN.  She specializes in crisis management, national security, cybersecurity, resiliency planning, risk management, public leadership international relations, and crisis communications.  Her most recently published book is Security Mom: My Life Protecting the Home and the Homeland.  She co-edited  Beyond 9/11: Homeland Security for the Twenty-First Century as well as First to Arrive: State and Local Responses to Terrorism.  She is the founder and primary consultant of Kayyem solutions which offers strategic and operational security advising, leadership training, and suggestions for infrastructure protection and cybersecurity protection.
