Please join us for an informal and limited attendance conversation with RI's own member of the Harvard Board of Overseers, Helena Buonanno Foulkes, AB'86, MBA'92, P'17, P'20. Through a moderated Q&A format, Helena will address engaging topics ranging from today's Harvard leadership, to the future of retail healthcare to what its like to be the mom of four college students while serving as the president of CVS Pharmacy and recognized by Fortune as the 12th most powerful woman in US business.


As president of CVS Pharmacy and executive vice president of CVS Health, Helena Foulkes has brought her passion for improving health care to millions of consumers and more than 200,000 employees. In fact, she was a key architect of the company’s historic decision to quit selling tobacco in 2014. Creator of the ExtraCare customer loyalty program, she was named one of Fortune magazine’s Most Powerful Women in 2015. Foulkes has served on the Advisory Board of the Harvard Business School Health Care Initiative, the reunion gift committees of her College and HBS classes, and as an alumni interviewer for Rhode Island high school seniors applying to Harvard College. She serves on the boards of directors of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and The Home Depot and has served on the national board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. She is also the chair of the Dodd Center at the University of Connecticut, a human rights advocacy organization. She and her husband, William G. Foulkes A.B. ’86, M.B.A. ’91, have four children, including Zoe ’17 and Owen ’20.

When:  Wednesday, February 8. Open bar with wine bar and tapas buffet from 6-7PM followed by a moderated Q&A conversation.

Where: Brown University Faculty Club, One Magee Street, Providence RI 02912

Menu:  Tapas buffet with Spanish cheeses and vegetable tapanades, shrimp, chorizo and roasted vegetable skewers and butternut squash pasta. Open wine, beer and fruit infused water bar from 6-7. Finger desserts with coffee & tea following the session.

Cost:    The cost of the tapas buffet dinner, open wine bar, dessert and coffee is $50. A discounted ticket which excludes the bar is available for $30.

Dress:  Business casual attire. No denim or sneakers please.
